Genesis: A View from the Beginning
This six-week small group study will help teenagers get a glimpse of some of the key stories from the book of Genesis. The first week looks at the creation account and focuses on helping students understand the intrinsic value they have as a result of being made in God’s image. Week two looks at the Fall and serves to remind students that even though God made them in his image, the sin in their lives creates a barrier to the impact their lives could be having.
Week three moves ahead a few chapters and examines Noah and the amazing faith he showed, even though he didn’t know all the details of where God was taking him. Week four, an examination of Abraham and his great faith, echoes the theme of trust and faith in God; students will discover that faith and obedience are the keys to unlocking the amazing purpose God has for their lives. Week five looks at Jacob and challenges your students to do the right thing even when doing so seems like the toughest road to take. Finally, week six is a snapshot of Joseph’s life and the importance of staying faithful in the most challenging situations.
Week 1: Reflecting the Creator (Creation) (Genesis 1:26-31)
Week 2: Trouble in Paradise (The Fall) (Genesis 3:1-13, 22-24)

Week 4: Called for a Purpose (Abraham) (Genesis 12:1-9; 15:1-6)

A Well-Rounded Faith
This five-week small group study is designed to help us understand how Paul lived out God’s purposes in his life and how teenagers can pursue them, too. The first week focuses on helping us understand that Christ lives in us and supplies us with the power to make his name known in our communities. Week two examines how we are created for authentic community and friendship. True community can get messy at times, but we can stay committed and see the benefits of learning to work together.
Week three focuses on what it means to be rooted in knowledge about our faith and how that knowledge can affect the way we live. In week four, we explore Paul's teaching on Jesus and his attitude of serving others, and we'll see that by committing to serve, we are following the standard set by Jesus. In week five, we'll focus on broadening our view of what it means to worship God. We'll see that it doesn't have to be limited to songs-it's about how we live daily.
Week 1: Everywhere, Everyone (Colossians 1:24-29)
Week 2: Community Can Be Messy (Philippians 4:2-3)
Week 3: Have Roots, Will Grow! (Colossians 2:6-7)
Week 4: Serving Like Jesus (Philippians 2:5-11)
Week 5: The Ultimate Worship Experience (Romans 12:1-2)
